Each summer, Anna travels from the United States to visit her grandmother in a cottage on the Swedish coast. While there, she celebrates Midsummer, visits the farmer up the road, helps her grandmother host a coffee gathering, picks blueberries, and more. Based partly on my own childhood memories, Anna’s Summer in Sweden features illustrated scenes from Anna’s summer with accompanying text.
